XPTV1 all began in 2020 with 2 Media/Broadcasting engineers who had a dream to set up an original music channel, using our experience in building and maintaining computers for the broadcast media industry. Back then we were unaware of the challenges ahead of us.

Once XPTV1 was born our target was to broadcast Music & Entertainment content 24 Hours a day. We knew that, around the world, someone would always be watching and enjoying the huge and varied catalogue of shows we had collected and created.

In our first year we started to connect to Cable networks and streaming applications across Europe and the USA, and started to build a brand identity, We have now built a loyal audience which continues to increase daily.

As the station gained more interest, we noticed many celebrities from yesteryear failed to  get much airplay on today’s entertainment feeds, media, and mainstream broadcast outlets, We decided to try to fill that niche gap in broadcasting by featuring new releases from known retro artists, for which we now have UK & USA “pluggers” and agents contacting us to promote. We are often now the first channel in the World to feature  new Celebrity releases.

A year into the process, we started to expand our music output to include some different content with a variety of retro music styles and genres. We are now starting to partner with other Media Networks. to Introduce yet more variety in our evening schedules, which are attracting new audiences from all over the World.

In late 2020, we had found, with the success of “Late Night with Monica Price”, that including occasional interviews with some of the artists massively increased our audience. It was evident that we needed to produce interview and chat shows on a more regular basis. Because of that, we now have several weekly evening shows which have attracted an even wider audience across the UK, Europe and the USA. Monica’s interviews from Suzi Quatro to Earth Wind & Fire and too many other legends to mention, bring a huge demand for these shows to XPTV1.

There are several studio networks now feeding entertainment shows directly to us from USA & Europe. Our latest acquisition, and our pride and joy, is The Jimbo & Jackie Show from California, which we are proud to broadcast weekly, along with Harvey Brownstone & many more in our evening “Talk Zone”.

In order to handle the increasing level of content we have built two studio galleries with separate server feeds for broadcasting from the UK and the Canary Islands in order to handle the demand of audiences worldwide, and our live show Feeds.

Our shows today are wide-ranging and gaining more loyal viewers all the time.. Our very own in-house produced Disco show, which is a weekly 7-hour show, is in huge demand globally. Live Wire brings new music from classic artists, Retro Replay plays great pop from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, Many more exciting pop music shows, like Pop Party and Soul Sunday play to loyal niche audiences all over the world.
